One of the reasons why I’m running for City of Langley Council is to build an accessible and safe community. This starts with the simple things like making our sidewalks safe, meeting modern standards.
I had the chance to walk around Downtown Langley with Leah Bolton from Joytv News recently. I pointed out some of the current accessibility issues with our sidewalks, and what could be done to improve them. I also chatted with Acting Mayor Ted Schaffer and community members to get their take on the state of sidewalks in the community. There is room for improvement.
