Thanks so much for your quick response, much appreciated.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08399765446620654873noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3299108886803608881.post-13466433383664856032018-03-11T16:32:25.220-07:002018-03-11T16:32:25.220-07:00These are the details that I found at: http://bcbu...These are the details that I found at: http://bcbudget.gov.bc.ca/2018/highlights/2018_Highlights.pdf

“The seniors who receive SAFER will see their average payment increase by more than $930 per year.”

Nathan Pachalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17647693133663879821noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3299108886803608881.post-48856728025902422582018-03-11T14:57:54.206-07:002018-03-11T14:57:54.206-07:00Is there any update on the rent ceilings being rai...Is there any update on the rent ceilings being raised. I read somewhere in 2018 budget that this was being addressed. Have you heard anything lately. In Abbotsford the rent cap is at 687 and my rent is 825, and monthly income is 1822, Safer is giving me 87.87 per month. Another point I wish to raise is each January the Fed govt gives me about a $6.00 raise, but then Safer recalulates each year and I lose the six dollars? So each year I receive less from Safer?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08399765446620654873noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3299108886803608881.post-13515794103966247342017-02-02T10:36:39.912-08:002017-02-02T10:36:39.912-08:00Excellent point on the maximum level of rents elig...Excellent point on the maximum level of rents eligible for SAFER subsidies. Those maximums need to be boosted significantly, considering the ever-rising monthly rental rates these days. I have made a few more comments about rental challenges in my blog post which can be found here: http://frankbucholtz.blogspot.ca/2017/01/rental-housing-shortage-problem-that.html Frankly Speakinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00351744821142793032noreply@blogger.com
