At the moment, we don't give any other incentives that I'm aware of. Certainly something that should be explored though. Nathan do you know if there is any encouragement the City offers for developers to build mixed use on say the one way strip of Fraser Hwy? I truly feel we need more people living in that area, for instance 2-3 stories of residential over the retail units. There needs to be limits in business types to ensure a healthy mix. Much effort must be put into attracting a well established anchor that could then entice complimenting businesses to follow. We also need to try to lure one of the larger financial institutions back - hopefully Scotia Bank will not leave like all the others have!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
